Liverpool are worried about Thiago ahead of the Champions League final against Real Madrid next Saturday in Paris. The 31-year-old playmaker from Spain was injured in the last Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Thiago had to leave the pitch at half-time after injuring his right thigh just before the break.
“I think he will miss the final, but I don’t know for sure yet. He’s limping. It’s not the best sign,” said coach Jürgen Klopp after the game.
Despite beating Wolverhampton 3-1, Liverpool missed out on the Premier League title as leaders Manchester City beat Aston Villa 3-2 in the same game. Thiago had set up Sadio Mane’s 1-1 draw with an ingenious back-heel.
