Manchester City wins against Newcastle United

Maria KeaneEnglish champions Manchester City are at least within striking distance in the title race with Arsenal. Team manager Pep Guardiola’s team won 2-0 (1-0) against Newcastle United on Saturday with national player Ilkay Gündogan in the starting line-up.
Phil Foden (15th) scored the opening goal, Bernardo Silva (67th) scored the final score. Gündogan had a chance to head the ball in the first minute, but put the ball over the goal.
With 58 points, the Citizens moved up to two points from leaders Arsenal, at least temporarily. The Gunners take on AFC Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon (4pm).
