Manchester United and Real Madrid agree on the transfer fee

Manchester United and Real Madrid have agreed on a transfer from world champion Raphael Varane. According to information from goal and SPOX the fee for the 28-year-old is 41 million euros plus possible bonus payments.

In the past few days, the speech had been a sum between 45 and 55 million euros. The move to the record champions of the Premier League is to be finalized in the coming days after the mandatory medical check, then Varane will sign a working paper that is valid until 2026.

Varane’s contract with Real runs until 2022. He rejected an extension with Los Blancos in the spring. There was no second, improved offer from the Madrilenians, who are currently on austerity course.

In the past few days, United had made more and more strides towards signing the center-back. Varane is the second notable addition to the Red Devils this summer.

The transfer of Jadon Sancho had already been processed last week. The winger comes from Borussia Dortmund for a basic amount of 85 million euros.

Varane moved from RC Lens to Los Blancos in 2011 for a ten million euro transfer fee. There he developed into one of the strongest defensive players ever and for years formed a reliable duo with ex-captain Sergio Ramos.

Varane won numerous titles with Real: Among other things, he won the Champions League four times and won three Spanish championships.
