The long wait is apparently over for Mason Mount as Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Chelsea.
The lengthy transfer poker has apparently come to an end: Loud The Athletic and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United and Chelsea have agreed to transfer midfielder Mason Mount (24).
According to this, the Red Devils will pay a total of around 70 million euros, with almost 64 million being guaranteed and the remaining amount coming in the form of bonus payments.
Mount’s contract with the Blues expires after the upcoming season, which is why you could only collect a high transfer fee this summer.
The attacking midfielder, who is said to have been on the wish list of his ex-coach Thomas Tuchel (FC Bayern), played 24 games in the Premier League last season and scored 3 goals and 2 assists.
He is a native of the Blues and was temporarily loaned out to Vitesse Arnheim (2017/18) and Derby County (2018/19) until 2019, before he asserted himself with the Chelsea pros and won the Champions League with Tuchel in 2021, among other things.
