Mateo Kovacic comes from Chelsea

Champions League winners Manchester City have found a replacement for German international Ilkay Gündogan who has emigrated. The English champions and cup winners have signed the Croatian World Cup bronze medalist Mateo Kovacic from league rivals Chelsea.
The 29-year-old midfielder has signed a four-year deal with the Skyblues. According to the British media, the transfer fee for Kovacic was around 35 million euros. FC Bayern was also interested in him.
“Moving to this team is a dream for every footballer,” said Kovacic, “they are the best in the world!”
Club director Txiki Begiristain sees the 95-time international as a “six or eight” and praised: “He has the tactical and technical skills that we look for in a midfielder.”
