Brighton & Hove Albion shot Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-0 (4-0) out of the stadium on the 34th match day of the Premier League on Saturday. With Pascal Groß and Deniz Undav, two Germans each scored a brace.
Undav scored the 1-0 in the 6th minute after a back-heel from Danny Welbeck and in the 66th minute it was 2-0 with a great chip. Groß completed a counterattack to make it 2-0 in the 13th minute and scored a fantastic volley in the 26th minute to make it 3-0. With Danny Welbeck (39./48) a third player scored twice for the Seagulls.
For the Mannheim-born Groß, who moved from FC Ingolstadt to southern England in 2017 and is under contract there until 2025, it was the ninth goal in 38 competitive games this season. The 32-year-old also prepared eight goals.
The former Meppener Undav, who found his way to the island in 2022 via the Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, is even under contract until 2026. For the 26-year-old striker, it was the four and five competitive goals with an assist.
Brighton & Hove Albion is having a strong season. The team of Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi is eighth, a point behind Liverpool FC, and can even dream of participating in an international competition.
