Apparently Chelsea can no longer win in the English Premier League. Despite the millions invested in the winter transfer window, the Blues, club of national player Kai Havertz, did not go beyond a 1-1 (1-1) draw in the London derby at West Ham United with national defender Thilo Kehrer.
Newly signed Portuguese star Joao Felix (16′) scored for Chelsea’s opener, Italy’s Emerson (28′) equalizing. The two DFB selection players each played 90 minutes. The supposed 2:1 for the Hammers by Tomas Soucek (82nd) was not given after video evidence because of an offside position.
The Havertz club spent a total of 330 million euros on new stars in January. The ex-Leverkusen native was in the Blues’ starting formation, and in the 23rd minute a goal by Havertz was disallowed for offside.
