The German was thus alluding to the already full schedule of the Premier League clubs. In the USA, Boehly’s homeland, all-star games are commonplace in all sports.

Boehly has owned the Blues with his group of investors since May 2022 and took over the club from Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.
