Premier League: Conte back on track with Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur have found their way back to success in the Premier League – thanks in part to a record set by forward duo Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane.

In the afternoon Manchester United meets Watford FC (NOW in the LIVETICKER), in the evening Manchester City has to play away at FC Everton (from 6.30 p.m. in the LIVETICKER). Christian Eriksen is also on the bench at Brentford FC against Newcastle and could make his long-awaited comeback

After just one win and four defeats in the last five games, the Spurs managed to break free with a 4-0 (3-0) win at Leeds United.

Matt Doherty (10′), Dejan Kulusevski (15′), Harry Kane (27′) and Heung-Min Son (85′) scored the goals for Antonio Conte’s team. At the end of the day, assist provider Kane and goalscorer Son also set a record: for the 37th time a co-production by the storm duo led to a goal. The previous Premier League record was held by Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, who had netted 36 goals for Chelsea.

The Spurs, where coach Conte had recently caused a stir with hints of resignation, but then rowed back, made the connection to the European Cup places in seventh place in the table. Marcelo Bielsa, meanwhile, conceded their fourth consecutive bankruptcy with Leeds and is therefore getting closer and closer to the relegation zone.
