Arsenal have extended their lead in the Premier League. At the relegation candidates Leicester City, the team of team boss Mikel Arteta struggled to a 1-0 (0-0) and thus increased the lead over pursuers Manchester City to five points at least for a few hours.

Gabriel Martinelli (46th) scored for the Gunners, who have finally overcome their mini-crisis with the second win in a row.
Arsenal dominated the game from the start without initially developing any real goal threat. The team of referees denied the alleged opening goal by Leandro Trossard because of a previous foul play (26th).
From the perspective of the Londoners, a game of patience developed – until shortly after the restart: the Brazilian Martinelli used a quick counterattack to give the guests a well-deserved lead. While the hosts then pushed for the decision, Leicester remained offensively harmless overall. In the chaotic final phase, there was hardly any flow of the game.
