On a spectacular evening, the relegation battle in the Premier League has rearranged itself. Everton FC and Nottingham Forest salvaged while Leicester City slipped to a relegation zone and bottom side Southampton need a miracle in their last three games. Two days after the coronation of the new king, a total of 21 goals were scored in three games.

The Saints lost 3: 4 (1: 3) to their direct competitor from Nottingham, the gap to Everton in the first non-relegation place 17 is already eight points. National player Armel Bella-Kotchap was unlucky in the home side’s first two goals. The central defender had to be substituted before the break due to an injury.

Newly promoted Forest, for whom former Union striker Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice, jumped to 16th place.

Everton celebrated an unexpected 5-1 (3-0) victory at European Cup candidate Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday evening. The Toffees took the lead in the first minute through Abdoulaye Doucoure, and the Liverpool team scored more goals with an attractive counterattack.

Leicester, still surprise champions in 2016, fell under the line again. The Foxes lost 3: 5 (0: 3) to goalkeeper Bernd Leno at FC Fulham, who had already been saved, and the guests gave a poor performance, especially in the first round. Old star Jamie Vardy also missed a penalty kick when the score was 1: 4 (66th).
