Premier League: Total madness when Liverpool FC win

Unstoppable star striker Erling Haaland has taken another step closer to the English league title with Manchester City and set the next record. Liverpool FC celebrated an incredible victory.

In the 2-1 (2-1) win at Fulham FC, the Norwegian international scored his 34th goal of the season in the 32nd game on Saturday – he caught up with Andy Cole (1993/94) and Alan Shearer (1994/95), who were then both had 42 games of the season.

Meanwhile, Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool FC kept the small chance of qualifying for the Champions League with a spectacular 4: 3 (3: 1) against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds initially lost a 3-0 lead before substitute Diogo Jota scored the winning goal in injury time (90+5). Klopp then celebrated exuberantly in front of the fourth official, but then grabbed his thigh and hobbled back to the substitutes’ bench.

Haaland’s record goal was a penalty kick, which he converted unspectacularly against German goalkeeper Bernd Leno in the third minute. It was his 50th goal of the season in all competitions. World champion Julian Alvarez (36th) countered the equalization for Fulham by Vinicius (15th) with a 20-meter shot.

The Champions League semi-finalists City are one point ahead of Arsenal, who only welcome Chelsea on Tuesday, at the top of the table. In addition, Manchester has played a game less.

Liverpool FC climbs to fifth place

In the evening, Liverpool passed Tottenham in the table with their fourth win in a row and are fifth for the first time this year. Archrival Manchester United is in fourth place with one game less, but is still seven points ahead, United defeated Aston Villa 1-0 (1-0).

Curtis Jones (3rd), Luis Diaz (5th) and Mohamed Salah (15th/penalty kick) gave Liverpool a quick 3-0 lead. Harry Kane (39′), Heung-Min Son (77′) and Richarlison (90’+3′) equalised, but Jota had the last word.
