Premier League with new transfer record

Maria KeaneThe 20 Premier League clubs have already spent more money on transfers than ever before the end of the summer window on September 1.
As of Thursday, £1.5bn (€1.78bn) had been invested in transfer fees for new players. This is according to calculations by the auditing company Deloitte surpassed the previous high of £1.43 billion (1.7) from the summer of 2017 transfers.
The clubs in the Premier League spent the most money in an entire season so far in 2017/2018. Back then, including the winter transfer window, £1.86 billion (2.21) in transfer fees went into new players. Last season, 2021/2022, the total was £1.44 billion (1.71).
The Premier League’s most expensive signing this summer is Darwin Nunez, who joined Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool from Benfica for £85.5m (101.42).
