Raphaël Varane talks about retiring and returning to Real Madrid

Raphaël Varane recently retired from the France national team and has now spoken about the end of his career.

Raphaël Varane has spoken about a possible retirement and a possible return to Real Madrid.

Opposite of GQ the France centre-back said: “There will be no other team. I will end my career at Manchester United, Real Madrid or Lens,” said the Manchester United star. “Returning to Madrid will be complicated though, they usually don’t allow returnees. I’m not going to rush things but the closer you get to 30, the more you think about it.”

Varane joined Real Madrid from RC Lens when he was young and joined Manchester United for €40m after ten years with Los Blancos. His contract runs until 2025. Varane resigned from the French national team after the final defeat at the 2022 World Cup against Argentina.

The 29-year-old is an absolute top performer at Manchester United and has made 27 competitive appearances this season.
