Jürgen Klopp makes new sponsorship deal clear

Liverpool FC apparently found what they were looking for in their search for a new number two at SV Sandhausen. As the sports picture writes, the Reds are among several clubs interested in goalkeeper Patrick Drewes. The English have already made contact with those around the 29-year-old goalkeeper.

Drewes’ contract with SVS expires next summer, but probably includes the option of an extension for another season. In addition, the sand houses had already submitted a new contract offer to the keeper. However, Drewes is still hesitating and has not decided where he sees his future.

In the summer of 2021, Drewes moved from VfL Bochum to Sandhausen on a free transfer. Since then he has been one of the best goalkeepers in the 2nd Bundesliga. This season Drewes, who is currently suffering from a torn muscle fibre, has played 14 competitive games in which he has had to swallow 19 goals. He did not concede a goal in four games.

Before his time in Sandhausen, he was under contract with the Würzburger Kickers and Preußen Münster. He comes from the youth of VfL Wolfsburg.

At Liverpool FC there are signs of changes in the goalkeeper position after this season. Caoimhín Kelleher (23) is no longer enough as a representative of regular goalkeeper Alisson, the Irishman is looking for a change to get more match practice. Only 35-year-old Adrian would remain behind Alisson, but his contract is also expiring.
