Tottenham Hotspur have signed the Spanish youth international Bryan Gil from Sevilla FC. The Premier League club officially announced this on Monday. According to media reports, the 20-year-old will receive a transfer fee of 25 million euros to Andalusia, and attacker Erik Lamela will be hired in Seville in return.
Gil is currently taking part in the Olympic Games in Tokyo with Spain’s U23s. After the tournament he will be hiring directly from the Spurs. The versatile winger’s new contract in London will run until 2026. Lamela meanwhile signed in Seville until 2024.
In Spain, Gil is considered one of the discoveries of the past season. He was loaned from Seville to Eibar and made the next leap in development there.
