Transfer fee over 100 million euros?

Tottenham Hotspur has apparently put a price tag in the hundreds of millions on Harry Kane for the coming summer. That reports the English Times.

Accordingly, Spurs boss Daniel Levy demands 114 million euros for the captain of the English national team should a club consider signing Kane after the current season.

Moreover, the British entrepreneur would insist that the potential buyer for the striker pays the money in one go immediately. According to the report, paying in installments is not an option.

This measure would probably have the advantage that the clubs from the Premier League have no chance of an early transfer of Kane. Manchester United in particular have been said to be interested in Kane in the past. In 2021 Manchester City was still in pole position, but the deal fell apart in the last few meters despite an alleged agreement.

Since then, Kane has also been associated with FC Bayern Munich. However, it is almost impossible for the German record champions to enter such transfer spheres. Especially since the contract with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was recently extended by another year.

In this context, sports director Hassan Salihamidzic also commented on the cause of Kane. “That’s not what we’re thinking at all right now. First of all, we extended Choupo. I hope he continues the same way, keeps scoring goals and then we’ll see.” The former professional added that he could not yet say what will happen in the summer.

FC Bayern: Hoeneß against transfer from Kane

Honorary President Uli Hoeneß recently spoke out against a transfer. “I can already imagine a player coming who costs 100 million euros. But I have expressed my opinion specifically in the case of Kane. He is almost 30 years old. Last year, Tottenham rejected an offer of 160 million euros from City. That’s why I said it wouldn’t be a transfer for FC Bayern,” he said.

A Bayern push would be much more likely if Kane played another season in the shirt of the London club and is available on a free transfer when his working paper expires in the summer of 2024. In this case, the competition could increase with another top club.

Real Madrid are also said to be vying for the 29-year-old’s services. Accordingly, the royals would wait until next January to guide Kane to the Spanish capital free of charge with a preliminary contract in the summer of 2024.

There is currently no sign of a contract extension. Loud The Athletic Spurs would also have no problem letting Kane go on a free transfer and going into his final year with him.

Kane has scored 22 goals for Tottenham in 38 competitive games this season. He has long been the club’s record goalscorer.
