3rd league: opening game canceled due to MSV quarantine

The DFB has canceled the third division opening game planned for Friday between VfL Osnabrück and MSV Duisburg due to corona. After another corona case on Wednesday, the MSV team including supervisory staff had to go into quarantine again with the exception of those who were fully vaccinated and recovered.

As a result, the zebras do not have enough players available, which also applies to the encounter on the second match day against TSV Havelse. A decision has not yet been made on a relocation application by the MSV.

The Duisburg team had previously had to cancel their participation in a three-way test tournament with Bundesliga clubs Borussia Dortmund and VfL Bochum.
