3rd league: Braunschweig climbs to second place

In the 3rd league, Eintracht Braunschweig initially opted for direct promotion. The Lower Saxony won against the relegation-threatened Würzburger Kickers 1-0 (1-0).

With 61 points, Eintracht passed 1. FC Kaiserslautern (60). 1. FC Magdeburg (66) remains the undisputed leader. FCM (at SC Verl/1 p.m.) and Lautern (against 1. FC Saarbrücken (2 p.m./MagentaSport each) only play on Sunday. VfL Osnabrück won 3-2 (2-1) at 1860 Munich in the chasing duel.

Bryan Henning (54th) scored for Braunschweig to make it 1-0. In Munich, Osnabrück already led 2-0 through goals from Marc Heider (24th) and Aaron Opoku (35th), but the Munich Lions showed great morale. Erik Tallig (41st) and Marcel Bär (59th) equalized for the sixties to 2:2. Lukas Kunze (79th) then scored the winning goal for Lower Saxony (54), who are fourth.

In the relegation battle, newly promoted Viktoria Berlin lost 1-0 (0-0) to MSV Duisburg. Kolja Pusch (56th) was successful for the zebras. SV Meppen and Borussia Dortmund separated 1:1 (1:0).

There was also a draw with 1:1 (1:1) between Halleschen FC and TSV Havelse. FSV Zwickau won against SV Wehen Wiesbaden 2:1 (1:1).
