3rd League: Dynamo Dresden WINS

Table leaders SV Elversberg dropped three points in the promotion race in the 3rd division. The Saarland lost 0:1 (0:0) to second division relegated Erzgebirge Aue. Omar Sijaric (74th) scored the winning goal for FC Erzgebirge. Dynamo Dresden, on the other hand, won.

Chaser SV Wehen Wiesbaden closed the gap to SVE to within three points with a 1-1 (1-0) win at MSV Duisburg. The SVWW missed the sixth win in a row. Johannes Wurtz (25th) made it 1-0 for Wehen, Kolja Pusch (89th, penalty kick) managed to equalize for the zebras.

SC Freiburg II, who are not allowed to be promoted, consolidated third place with a 0-0 draw at newly promoted VfB Oldenburg. Dynamo Dresden, who were relegated to the second division, scored 2-1 (1-1) against Waldhof Mannheim and, in fourth place, has a good chance of reaching the relegation games.

On Friday, VfL Osnabrück kept its hopes of returning to the 2nd Bundesliga alive. Coach Tobias Schweinsteiger’s team won 1-0 (1-0) at Halleschen FC, who were threatened with relegation, and finished fifth.
