3rd league: Meppen stays at the bottom

The SV Meppen keeps the red lantern of the bottom of the table in the 3rd division. The Emsländer lost 0:3 (0:0) against FC Ingolstadt on Easter Sunday. Patrick Schmidt (62′), Moussa Doumbouya (75′) and Tobias Bech (90’+3′) were successful for the Schanzer at the premiere of coach Michael Köllner.
Meppen has 24 points on the account, the gap to the first non-relegation zone is already eight points for the team coached by Ernst Middendorp.
Despite being 2-0 down, 1. FC Saarbrücken still drew 2-2 (0-1) against relegation candidate FSV Zwickau on Sunday and remains fifth in the table. Maximilian Jansen (25th) and Jan-Marc Schneider (51st) scored the goals for the Saxons. Adriano Grimaldi (78’/84′) managed to equalize with a double strike.
