3rd league: Setback for Saarbrücken

1. FC Saarbrücken suffered a severe setback in the fight for promotion to the 3rd division.

The former Bundesliga club surprisingly lost 0-1 (0-0) at the bottom of the table SV Meppen and, after seven games without defeat, is now seven points behind a direct promotion place.

After the last three defeats in a row, Meppen once again had a sense of achievement, but the team coached by Ernst Middendorp is facing relegation. Marvin Pourie (90+1) scored the winning goal.
