Maria KeaneBorussia Dortmund is approaching a normal stadium experience. As the club announced on Thursday, after the revision of the Corona Protection Ordinance in NRW, 36,000 spectators will be admitted against FC Augsburg on Saturday (3:30 p.m. in the LIVETICKER) – 11,000 more than before.
However, BVB is still limiting itself for this game. On October 16, against FSV Mainz 05, the 67,000 tickets now permitted are to be issued. This was no longer possible on Saturday due to the short notice.
“We are very pleased with the trust of the NRW state government. All of us at BVB have sorely missed every single fan in the past year and a half,” said Hans-Joachim Watzke, Chairman of the Management Board.
The way back to maximum capacity with 81,365 fans, on the other hand, requires “some patience for various reasons”, according to BVB. Seating may be fully occupied in accordance with the ordinance valid from Friday, standing room up to 50 percent.
