Leverkusen teenagers Sertdemir and Bravo make history

Maria KeaneAt Bayer Leverkusen, two teenagers have moved up to positions two and three in the ranking of the youngest Bundesliga players in history.
Substitutes Zidan Sertdemir (16 years and 276 days) and Iker Bravo (16 years and 298 days) made their debut in the away game on Sunday at Hertha BSC (1-1). Only Youssoufa Moukoko (16 years and 1 day) from Borussia Dortmund was younger when it premiered in the top German division.

- Youssoufa Moukoko (Borussia Dortmund) on November 21, 2020 – 16 years and 1 day
- Zidan Sertdemir (Bayer Leverkusen) on November 7, 2021 – 16 years, 9 months and 3 days
- Iker Bravo (Bayer Leverkusen) on November 7, 2021 – 16 years, 9 months and 25 days
- Nuri Sahin (Borussia Dortmund) on November 26, 2005 – 16 years, 11 months and 1 day
- Yann Aurel Bisseck (1. FC Köln) on November 26, 2017 – 16 years, 11 months and 28 days
