BVB: Is the contract extension with Zagadou still not an issue?

A contract extension with Dan-Axel Zagadou beyond 2022 is probably not yet an issue at Borussia Dortmund. That reports the kicker.

The 22-year-old has struggled with serious injuries several times in his young career. Nevertheless, he enjoys great esteem in the club. In the past, those responsible have often emphasized the potential of Zagadou.

The Frenchman returned to the field against RB Leipzig on matchday 11 after a month-long break resulting from a knee injury with subsequent surgery. Zagadou also had a brief appearance against Wolfsburg and Sporting Lisbon. In the 5-0 win against Besiktas, he was even in the starting line-up.

Because Manuel Akanji won’t play a game in the first half of the season due to a knee surgery, Zagadou has the opportunity to show himself in the remaining three games. In addition to Mats Hummels, coach Marco Rose is also available on loan from Wolfsburg to Marin Pongracic.

BVB, News: Pufpaff explains TV prank

Moderator Sebastian Pufpaff explained on Wednesday in his program “TV total” how he smuggled his way into Signal Iduna Park during the top match between BVB and FC Bayern.

The 45-year-old had dressed like coach Marco Rose and adjusted his hairstyle accordingly. He already has a certain resemblance to the Dortmund coach, Pufpaff noted. He even gave an autograph for Rose on the street.

He also organized a team bus and affixed a large BVB logo to it shortly before the stadium. Some extras had also pretended to be BVB players.

Pufpaff made it to the catacombs of the BVB stadium after having passed the first, smaller checkpoint without any problems. Shortly before the cabins, however, his prank was exposed. “You are not the trainer,” clarified an employee with the BVB logo. “Who am I?” Replied Pufpaff.

The man remained determined: “I don’t care. But you are not our coach.” Then the post ended. According to the police, BVB refrained from filing a criminal complaint.

In return, the BVB fan, who claims to be big, has a “lifelong stadium ban”. Managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke personally gave him this. Therefore, Pufpaff called on the Dortmund supporters to support: “I need your help.” You should work to initiate friendship between “TV total” and BVB.

BVB: Referee boss Fröhlich defends Zwayer

Referee chief Lutz Michael Fröhlich has stood in front of his protégé in the debate about Felix Zwayer. In Fröhlich’s view, Zwayer’s role in the Hoyzer scandal is often incorrectly portrayed.
