BVB, rumor: Hummels is about to extend his contract

Mats Hummels is said to be about to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund. That reports the sports picture.

The central defender has already expressed to the club that he wants to continue playing for Dortmund. That was met with approval at BVB. The black and yellow can also imagine further cooperation. The contract extension is therefore only a “formal matter”.

There should be talks about Hummels’ future in the new year. A new contract is planned for one year, which offers an option for a further year.

Hummels has made 19 competitive appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season. Despite good performances, national coach Hansi Flick decided not to hire the 33-year-old during the World Cup in Qatar.

BVB, rumour: Dortmund is negotiating with Kudus

Borussia Dortmund’s interest in Ajax Amsterdam’s Mohammed Kudus has already leaked out in the past few weeks and months. The 22-year-old once again underlined his qualities at the World Championships. He scored two goals in three games for Ghana.

Noisy sports picture BVB should therefore already be in talks with Kudus. Sports director Sebastian Kehl is apparently in contact with Kudus’ advisor Jennifer Mendelewitsch, so there should already be initial talks.

At BVB, the 22-year-old could succeed Jude Bellingham, who is likely to leave the club. Kudus can play in central midfield as well as up front.
