Maria KeaneShortly before the derby against Hertha BSC, the wild rumor circulated around Union Berlin that the irons were interested in Isco. This reports sky.
There it was said in the program ‘Transfer Update – the Show’ with a view to the attacking midfielder, among other things: “The fact that the Unioners are planning something that nobody in the Bundesliga is expecting, that’s going around.” This is also an issue within the team, among other things, the players sometimes call each other “Isco” for fun in training.
“If Isco is associated with us, then we must have done a lot right. That honors us,” said Union President Dirk Zingler before the capital derby sky. “Of course we’re also developing in the area of transfers. We’re in our second year playing internationally, we’re second in the table now, so players who didn’t deal with us three or four years ago are now dealing with our club.”
The 38-time Spain international is a coveted target on the transfer market, after all he is on the market without a club and on a free transfer after his premature departure from Sevilla FC. At the traditional club in crisis, his contract, which actually lasted until 2024, was surprisingly terminated in December. While there was no official justification for this, Isco is said to have bickered with sports director Monchi and shown poor training performance.
Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus have been traded as well-known prospects in recent weeks.
Isco comes from the youth of FC Valencia. From there he moved to FC Malaga in 2011 for a fee of six million euros. The move to Real Madrid followed in 2013, the Blancos transferred 30 million euros to Andalusia for him. After nine years in the capital, he went to Seville on a free transfer, but his engagement there only lasted a few months.
Isco, who won the Champions League at the age of five, made 19 competitive appearances for Sevilla FC this season. The 30-year-old scored one goal and three assists.
