Maria KeaneThe German record champions Bayern Munich and the Munich insurance company Allianz have extended their partnership for the long term. The new contract runs for another ten years until 2033.
The group, which has been a sponsor of the club since 2000, has held 8.33 percent of the shares in FC Bayern AG since 2014, along with Audi and adidas, and has also been the naming partner of the arena since 2005.
“FC Bayern attaches great importance to reliable, continuous partnerships. We are therefore very happy to continue our cooperation with Allianz. We can look back on more than 20 years of joint success, to which we want to add further chapters with new, innovative ideas.” , said Bavaria’s CEO Oliver Kahn.
They want to “together in the future, among other things, advance the expansion of the partnership with our women’s team and implement projects in the promotion of young people,” added Marketing Director Andreas Jung. Allianz has also been the shirt sponsor of the Munich women’s team since 2013.
