Between Tegernsee and Tokyo – that’s the motto for Bayern Munich’s summer timetable. The German soccer record champion will prepare for the coming season with a training camp on his own doorstep and a trip to Asia with a stop in Japan. The club announced this on Friday. According to the media, Singapore is being discussed as the second Asian station.

“FC Bayern is always aware of its roots in Bayern and Munich, and it’s part of the club’s tradition that we always prepare for the new season at Tegernsee,” said CEO Oliver Kahn about the stay just outside Munich between the two July 15 and 20. Honorary President Uli Hoeneß also resides at Tegernsee.

“At the same time, we want to give our fans around the world the opportunity to see our players live,” added Kahn. The eighth “Audi Summer Tour” will take place from July 24 to August 3. In Tokyo, Bayern will play in the National Stadium on July 26th and 29th. In the second game, four-time Japanese champions Kawasaki Frontale are opponents.

The first competitor will be announced as well as the second destination of the Asia trip with a third game. The Munich team was last in Japan in 2008 with their professional team, in Asia in 2017 – at that time in China and Singapore.
