Chelsea block Callum Hudson-Odoi's transfer

The reigning Champions League winners FC Chelsea is a possible loan from Callum Hudson-Odoi according to information from SPOX and Goal put a stop to it. The young Englishman was toying with a move to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

Under Thomas Tuchel, Hudson-Odoi currently only plays a subordinate role and has not yet been used in the recently started Premier League season. However, Tuchel insists on a broad squad and therefore wants to keep the home grown in his ranks.

The decision of the Blues is also due to the fact that the negotiations with the two dream players Jules Kounde (Sevilla FC) and Saul Niguez (Atletico Madrid) have stalled.

At Kounde, Seville continues to insist on a sum of 65 million euros – too much for the blues. The problem with a Niguez transfer is a clause in the loan agreement demanded by Atletico, which would make a subsequent purchase for around 40 million euros likely.

Hudson-Odoi’s contract at Stamford Bridge will run until 2024 after an extension in autumn 2019.
