Alphonso Davies named “CONCACAF Player of the Year”.

Great honor for Alphonso Davies: The FC Bayern Munich full-back was named “CONCACAF Player of the Year”.
The Canada international was the first player in his country to receive the North and Central American Football Association award.
“I’m happy to have received this award,” said Davies of his honor and referred to the great competition: “The CONCACAF level is high, there is a lot of passion on the pitch.”
At the same time, Davies is looking forward to the World Cup: “We are happy that we can take part in the World Cup.”
Canada has qualified for a World Cup for the first time in 36 years. However, Davies was unable to take part in the decisive qualifying games, the winger has been sidelined since the beginning of the year due to a myocarditis. However, the 21-year-old is about to make a comeback at his club FC Bayern.
