FC Bayern, News: Bayern apparently snatches away talent from BVB

FC Bayern Munich has probably prevailed against Borussia Dortmund in courting for the American top talent Kristian Fletcher. That reports Fox– Journalist Keith Costigan via Twitter. As a result, the 16-year-old striker is about to sign a contract with Munich.

Most recently, Fletcher had completed a trial training at Manchester United, for which he is said to have received a British passport. Borussia Dortmund was also about to commit.

Fletcher plays for the Bethesda Academy in the US state of Georgia and scored 17 goals last season, which led Landon High School to the league title.

FC Bayern, News: Hainer ennobles Lewandowski

Bayern President Herbert Hainer has once again raved about striker Robert Lewandowski. “Robert knows that I and everyone in charge appreciate him very much, I have told him that often enough. We are so happy that we have him because he is an absolute goal guarantee, the world’s best striker,” said Hainer der Picture on sunday.

Lewandowski had broken the Gerd Müller record of 42 goals in a calendar year with his goal against VfL Wolfsburg. Last season he beat his record for goals in one season.

“Lewandowski has now broken two records in a short time. That makes him proud and you can tell that he wanted that,” explained Hainer. “I’ve often talked to him about it. On the one hand, he appreciates Gerd very much, he was an icon. On the other hand, he is also an athlete and really wants to achieve that. He made it and you have to say: Chapeau!”

Whether Lewandowski will stay with Bayern until the end of his professional life is still open. His contract runs until 2023, by which time the striker would be 34 years old. Not too old for Hainer: “I would be happy if he ended his career with us!”
