Bayern are reportedly negotiating again for Coman extension

Allegedly, the demands of Kingsley Coman were too high for Bayern, but now both sides have probably moved towards each other again.

That reports the image. According to this, Bavaria’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and technical director Marco Neppe on the Munich side and Coman’s father Christian on the other have re-entered the talks.

Coman’s contract with FCB expires in 2023. In the first round of talks with the club about a possible extension, the 25-year-old is said to have demanded too much money, i.e. an annual salary of around 20 million euros, according to the report.

The good performance of Coman in the past few weeks would have led to the first small rethinking of the Munich, who should now be ready to come a little closer to the demands of the French. How exactly a deal could look like is now to be clarified in the negotiations.

Should there be an extension of Comans, FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann would be happy in any case. “He has outstanding qualities and can hurt any defense. That also implies that I would like to keep him. Even for several years,” the coach had recently announced.

FC Bayern want to be prepared for Coman farewell

According to information from SPOX and GOAL, the Munich squad planners are already working on alternatives, should one not come to a common denominator with Coman in the coming months.

Coman has been playing for FC Bayern since 2015, who initially loaned him from Juventus Turin, only to sign him in 2017. He has been involved in 60 goals in 147 Bundesliga games so far (28 goals, 32 assists). In the 2020 Champions League final, he headed the goal for Bayern in a 1-0 win against PSG.
