Bayern Munich: "Leverkusen made us think"

After Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic, Herbert Hainer has now declared Julian Nagelsmann’s expulsion at Bayern Munich – and his table football– Quote voiced on Monday.

“If you look at the situation, you have to be sober: At the beginning of the year we were nine points ahead of Dortmund and today we are one point behind Dortmund,” said the president at half-time in the women’s top game between FC Bayern Munich and the VfL Wolfsburg at Magenta sports: “That means we’ve lost ten points in the last two months. If that’s the case, then the performance and the result don’t match. Overall, the performances were too fluctuating.”

Nevertheless, they believed in Julian Nagelsmann the whole time. Hainer was still on Monday at the table football quoted. There he said that Nagelsmann was a “long-term project” for FCB and that the coaching discussion was superfluous. “Leverkusen made us think again,” he now admitted. A negative trend was foreseeable in the games against Augsburg and Bayer 04 and a separation was therefore inevitable.

However, Hainer was convinced of Thomas Tuchel. He is the right man who has gained a lot of experience, especially internationally. Tuchel will celebrate his debut against Borussia Dortmund in a week.
