Maria KeaneNational player Julian Brandt from Borussia Dortmund has spoken from the hospital after the violent clash in the top game against Bayern Munich (2: 3).
“Thank you for your many good wishes. I’m fine now,” wrote Brandt on Instagram. After a good performance and the early Dortmund opening goal, the 25-year-old collided with Bayern central defender Dayot Upamecano and hit his head hard on the grass.
After minutes of treatment, he was carried off the field. “It’s a shame that it couldn’t go on for me,” he wrote: “Now the skull needs a few days of rest before I’m back.”
