According to information from Ruhr news Borussia Dortmund secures the services of Prince Aning. The 18-year-old comes to BVB from Ajax Amsterdam.
Accordingly, BVB have the negotiations with Aning, which the RN as “protracted”, brought to a conclusion and agreement reached on a four-year contract.
Aning is supposed to appear in the U23s in the 3rd division for Borussia, but due to his age he could also play in the U19s.
Dortmund pays training compensation for the left-back. Aning could train with the second team for the first time next weekend.
Aning was already present in Dortmund in January to take a look at the training ground in Brackel. Ajax would have liked to extend the expiring contract with their home-grown talent, but are now looking down the drain, as was the case with Julian Rijkhoff, who opted for Dortmund’s U17s in January 2021 and now plays in the U19s.
Aning was born in Amsterdam and has been playing in the Ajax youth team since 2012. The defender, who is currently a U18 player for the Netherlands, made 23 competitive appearances (two assists) last season. He has already met BVB twice in the Youth League.
