Bundesliga: Full stadiums in Cologne and Schalke possible

Maria KeaneBack to normal: In Cologne and Schalke, the football stadiums can be fully occupied at the weekend, at VfL Bochum the capacity for the Bundesliga game on Friday evening (8:30 p.m./DAZN) against Borussia Mönchengladbach was temporarily increased from 20,000 to 25,000 spectators. This was announced by VfL on Thursday. The 2G+ rule still applies to access.
1. FC Köln is allowed in the NRW duel against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday (7:30 p.m./DAZN) hope for 50,000 spectators and thus a sold-out arena. On Thursday, after approval, 12,500 more tickets for FC members went on sale. The 2G+ rule also applies here.
Also at the second division club Schalke 04 are on Saturday (1.30 p.m./sky) against Hannover 96 released all 62,271 seats under 2G+ regulations. In Bielefeld, full capacity has been allowed for Arminia’s home game against VfB Stuttgart on April 2nd.
Most of the home teams were already able to use their capacities to a large extent on the last matchday, despite increasing incidences. There were over 30,000 fans in the stadiums at Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach, and over 25,000 at TSG Hoffenheim and SC Freiburg.
If large parts of the corona measures actually expire as planned from Sunday, the arenas should in principle be fully utilized again.
