BVB is probably dealing with Edson Alvarez from Ajax

In the event of Jude Bellingham’s departure in the summer, Borussia Dortmund is apparently considering a possible commitment from Edson Alvarez. A report of Picture According to BVB, the midfielder from Ajax Amsterdam is interested.

Dortmund would therefore like to bind the Mexican in the long term. At least 40 million euros would have to be transferred as a transfer – a sum that BVB could certainly raise with the money from a Bellingham sale.

However, Alvarez would not be a 1-1 successor to Bellingham. The Mexican is more of a classic six than the Englishman and has less offensive drive. He would therefore probably be part of a solution that would absorb a departure of Bellingham with combined forces.

Alvarez is under contract with Ajax until 2025. FC Bayern Munich should also keep an eye on the 25-year-old, the new FCB coach Thomas Tuchel probably wanted to bring Alvarez to Chelsea last summer.

The Mexico international has been playing for Ajax since 2019 after moving to the Netherlands from CF America. So far this season he has played 40 competitive games for the top club from Amsterdam (four goals, three assists).
