BVB, rumors: Gregor Kobel before comeback, Marco Reus questionable

After the last-minute point against FC Bayern Munich on Saturday, BVB is going into the Champions League week in a good mood. Before the game against FC Sevilla on Tuesday (9 p.m. in LIVETICKER), Borussia Dortmund also has good news from Gregor Kobel.

As the Ruhr news report, the goalkeeper is about to make his comeback after recovering from a torn muscle fibre. The 24-year-old was back on the bench against Bayern and was able to take part in training without any problems on Sunday. He will probably replace substitute goalkeeper Alexander Meyer against Sevilla.

Marco Reus, on the other hand, has significantly more question marks. Although he has survived his ankle injury, he recently suffered from an infection. On Sunday he missed training again, Sevilla on Tuesday could still be too early. Reus may have to wait until Sunday and the Bundesliga game at Union Berlin.

In the Champions League, coach Edin Terzic will most likely be able to fall back on Mats Hummels, who had to be substituted against Bayern due to circulatory problems. Giovanni Reyna could also be an option again after his strain.

BVB, News: Hans-Joachim Watzke is happy about the tension in the Bundesliga

BVB managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke is happy about the return of tension in the Bundesliga. After nine match days, FC Bayern is not enthroned at the top of the table, instead Union Berlin and SC Freiburg are leading the field ahead of Munich and Dortmund.

After the 2: 2 of the black and yellow against the record champions, who are unusually weak and have only won one game in the past, Watzke explained in the WAZ: “It’s exciting again at the top, that’s good for the league.”

BVB fought back from a 2-0 deficit against Bayern in the top game and equalized in the 95th minute. “It was unbelievably loud after the equaliser, the climax almost had something of Malaga about it,” Watzke compared the game with the legendary catch-up race in the 2013 Champions League quarter-finals. “The players and of course Edin Terzic managed to unite again to form with the fans.”

BVB, News: Anthony Modeste reveals a secret after a hit

With his goal to make it 2: 2, Anthony Modeste became a BVB hero after the summer newcomer had to take harsh criticism in the past few weeks. “I got a lot on the cover. I rewarded myself. That was important for me,” said the 34-year-old afterwards sky.

“I won’t make a secret of it: I complained a bit during the week because I didn’t get enough crosses,” revealed the 34-year-old. “I said: Guys, we don’t have to play so sexy anymore, we have to be effective. If I say something, it’s always meant in a positive way for the team.”
