BVB or Bavaria? Bundesliga return for Jürgen Klopp is currently not an issue

Jürgen Klopp is still under contract in Liverpool until 2024. His advisor does not currently believe that he could go back to the Bundesliga afterwards.

Marc Kosicke, Jürgen Klopp’s advisor, commented on the current future plans of the Liverpool FC coach. A possible return to the Bundesliga is currently not being considered.

“Jürgen is a child of the Bundesliga and also follows them from afar. He always crosses over to Mainz 05 and BVB because he simply had a great time there. But he is not even thinking about returning”, said Kosicke at Sport 1.

Klopp was head coach at Mainz 05 from 2001 to 2008 and then at Borussia Dortmund from 2008 to 2015. In October 2015, the 54-year-old was hired in Liverpool, where he will be under contract until 2024.

Regarding a second engagement at BVB, Kosicke said: “In general, a warmed-up love always seems difficult.” And a transfer to Bayern is “just as difficult to imagine at the moment. In Jürgen’s head there is currently no room for future planning next to the LFC.”

In any case, “in the next few years” there will be no worries in Munich about the post of head coach, explained Kosicke. With Julian Nagelsmann, FCB have “one of the best German coaches from the young generation who is also a true Bavarian. And he is also successful. It looks like a perfect match.”
