Change to BVB? Courted Marvin Ducksch wants to clarify the future soon

The courted striker Marvin Ducksch from Werder Bremen does not want to delay the decision about his future for too long. “I think there will be something in the near future,” said the 29-year-old, who, according to reports, is said to have aroused the interest of Borussia Dortmund, Union Berlin, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach with his performances.

Despite a contract until 2024, Ducksch again refrained from a declaration of loyalty to Werder.

“Anything is possible in football. I don’t want to commit myself just yet,” said Ducksch. But he also emphasized that he felt very comfortable on the Weser and wanted to focus on staying up. His advisor is in exchange with the club.

Should his strike partner Niclas Füllkrug, who is also being courted, remain in Bremen, this would be an argument for his current employer, said Ducksch: “If you have the opportunity to keep such a player, that is definitely a big criterion.”

It would be “a dream” for him to play again for his “heart club” Borussia Dortmund. The striker, who has scored twelve goals this season, had taken his first steps in the professional business with the Westphalians.
