Defender Dan-Axel Zagadou could return to France after his contract with Borussia Dortmund ends. According to reports from Foot Mercato the OGC Nice is interested in the 23-year-old.
On the French south coast, Zagadou could meet former BVB coach Lucien Favre again if he takes over from Christophe Galtier. Galtier is a candidate for the coaching post at Paris Saint-Germain.
In addition to Nice, several English Premier League clubs are said to have signaled their interest in Zagadou, including Manchester United. Zagadou did not receive a new contract at BVB after five years. The central defender came from PSG in 2017 but has always struggled with injuries.
Last month, Zagadou was open to a return to Ligue 1. “Of course. I left very young, so it would be good for me to return to France. I will not put up any hurdles to return,” he said beIN Sports.
