Dayot Upamecano, Ryan Gravenberch and Erix Maxim Choupo-Moting are likely to be absent against Wolfsburg

FC Bayern Munich apparently has to do without three players against VfL Wolfsburg, including two absolute regulars. That reports sports1.

Accordingly, coach Julian Nagelsmann, defense chief Dayot Upamecano and striker Erix Maxim Choupo-Moting are not available. According to the report, Ryan Gravenberch, who had also recently presented himself well in midfield, missed the guest appearance with the wolves. All three missed the final training session on Saturday.

Upamecano did not take part in team training on Friday to be checked out by a physiotherapist.

“Upa is being treated in Constance. He’s having his statics adjusted a bit and his toe looked at,” explained Nagelsmann at the press conference on Friday: “He has a few ailments in the adductor area and on his toe.”

However, the FCB coach announced that Upamecano would “train normally again and be available” the next day. Apparently that didn’t happen.

Meanwhile, Choupo-Moting is suffering from a gastrointestinal infection. Even with the striker, Nagelsmann indicated that a commitment to the Wolfsburg game was not in danger.

Meanwhile, Gravenberch is suffering from a bruise on his knee, as Nagelsmann confirmed. Whether he is in the squad would only be decided at short notice: “There’s nothing on the ligament apparatus. We took a picture yesterday. Everything is intact there. It’s a painful issue and will be decided tomorrow.”

In addition to the trio, Josip Stanisic will definitely not be part of the squad of the German record champions. The defender has problems with his ankle.
