“Don’t have to talk about the hot cocoa”

RB Leipzig’s new coach Marco Rose has spoken out in favor of Max Eberl becoming the new sporting director of the Saxons.

“We don’t have to talk about hot cocoa. Everyone knows my relationship with Max, everyone knows that the club is in talks with Max,” added Rose sky before the Bundesliga game against Borussia Dortmund, he made no secret of the fact that he would like to see Eberl as the new Leipzig sports director.

Even after leaving Gladbach in the summer of 2021, Rose maintained contact with Eberl. “Regardless of that, we kept exchanging ideas. We also met in the summer. I visited him in Zurich once to find out how he was doing. At the end of the day we think we can work well together,” so the new RBL coach.

Most recently, managing director Oliver Mintzlaff confirmed contact with Eberl. Eberl “would be someone who would fit in well with us. And Max is also ready to get back on board,” he said on the sidelines of the DFB Cup game against Teutonia 05 Ottensen sky.

Eberl resigned as sporting director of Borussia Mönchengladbach in January 2022 due to health problems. Since then, the 48-year-old has been without a job.
