Eintracht Frankfurt: Change from da Costa to Hertha BSC apparently burst

Eintracht Frankfurt may be thinning out their squad at the end of the winter transfer period. Danny da Costa and Aymen Barkok in particular are said to be on the Hessian hit list.

However: In the case of right-back Da Costa, a departure seems to be complicated. According to information from table football Eintracht had negotiations with Hertha BSC at the weekend, but the clubs could not come to a common denominator.

A move by the 28-year-old, who is only contractually bound to SBU until June 30, to Berlin is therefore off the table. Hertha would now look elsewhere, also given the short time until the end of the change period.

Da Costa is only a reserve player in Frankfurt, so he was loaned to Mainz 05 in the second half of last season. Aymen Barkok could move there from Eintracht this time. According to the image such a transfer of the midfielder within the Bundesliga is “another topic”.

The 23-year-old’s contract also expires in the summer. According to the tabloid, the Hessians could retrofit themselves in the event of a departure.

Eintracht Frankfurt with a long strike list

Erik Durm, Almamy Toure, Goncalo Paciencia (all contract until 2023) and Stefan Ilsanker (contract expires) also do not play very important roles under coach Oliver Glasner.

According to table football the Frankfurters would save a total of around ten million euros in salary costs with their departures. Will one of the reservists leave the Main metropolis immediately? None of them is at least publicly associated with another club.
