Eintracht Frankfurt has loaned out Ansgar Knauff

Maria KeaneEintracht Frankfurt is loaning junior national player Ansgar Knauff (20) from league rivals Borussia Dortmund for a year and a half. Both clubs announced this on Thursday.
However, the Hessians do not have a purchase option afterwards. “He approached us with the desire to be able to gain more match practice as part of a loan. We would like to offer him this opportunity to develop at a high level,” said BVB licensed player boss Sebastian Kehl.
Knauff only made five brief appearances for the second-placed team this season. “Ansgar fits into our team very well with his pace and his understanding of the game and would like to take the next step in development here. He is able to help us immediately on the flanks,” said Frankfurt’s sporting director Markus Krösche.
