Fans throw back Davie Selke’s jersey

Maria KeaneThe fans of Berlin Hertha reacted more than indignantly to the weak performance of their team in the 0-2 defeat in the city derby against Union. Well-intentioned gestures by the team also no longer helped.
Davie Selke in particular felt this. When the Hertha team faced their own fans at the guest block fence in the stadium at the Alte Försterei, the striker threw his jersey into the block – from where it was thrown back onto the lawn.
It is speculative whether the gesture was directed personally against Selke, who is currently weak in form, or whether the fans were basically so angry that they would have rejected any other jersey.
Hertha from the west of Berlin saw no land in the East Berlin district of Köpenick and was still pretty well served with the 0: 2 final result. As a result, Union is – as it was last season – well ahead of its historically larger rival in the table.
