FC Barcelona is apparently contacting Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen

FC Barcelona has reportedly contacted those close to Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz to explore the possibility of a transfer. This is reported by the Spanish sports newspaper Sports.

According to this, Barça approached Hans-Joachim Wirtz, the father and adviser of the 19-year-old, and had initial talks that were positively received in the Wirtz camp.

Wirtz switched from 1. FC Köln to Bayer Leverkusen in early 2020 for €200,000. Its market value there is now around 70 million euros.

After his serious knee injury, Wirtz only played in eight games in the current Bundesliga season. He got four templates. In the Europa League he has three points (two goals, one assist) in just two duels.
