The French international Kingsley Coman has avoided a clear commitment to his club Bayern Munich and sees “several options” for his future. However, the door was “not slammed to stay here,” he emphasized on Tuesday.
“At the moment I just want to finish the season and give my best. We’ll see after that, but that’s still a bit off,” said the 25-year-old.
For months there have been rumors that Coman could leave Bayern before his contract expires in 2023. Most recently, he was associated with top English clubs and with FC Barcelona, which will be a guest in the Champions League in Munich on Wednesday evening.
A contract extension has not yet come about due to financial discrepancies between Coman and the FCB officials. According to information from SPOX and GOAL, the squad planners around Hasan Salihamidzic and Marco Neppe are already working on alternatives if you don’t come to a common denominator with Coman in the coming months.
Coman: “Maybe we will have news soon”
“We have had talks of course. The club will continue to talk to my agent and maybe we will have some news soon,” he said now.

Nagelsmann hopes to stay with Coman
Coman also raved about coach Julian Nagelsmann: “He has a lot of energy and passes it on to us. He wants to win. We haven’t had a coach who had such a positive impact on the team for a long time.”
Nagelsmann praised Coman: “His goal finish has improved significantly, he has very good lateral contact. He can solve many 1-on-1 situations and is a very good preparer.” The 34-year-old also made it clear that he was hoping for the Frenchman to stay: “I want to keep him for several years and appreciate him very much – also as a person.”
