FC Bayern Munich and BVB are trying to get Edson Àlvarez

Maria KeaneFC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in the 25-year-old midfielder Edson Àlvarez from Ajax Amsterdam. According to the Dutch newspaper telegraph the two Bundesliga title rivals want to get in touch with Ajax in this regard.
sky meanwhile reports that talks between Álvarez and BVB have already taken place. Loud sports1 there was also contact with FC Bayern. Álvarez is still under contract with Ajax until 2025, but is likely to leave the club for between 35 and 50 million euros, depending on the report.
At Dortmund, Àlvarez could replace Jude Bellingham should the latter be expected to join Real Madrid. FC Bayern is looking for an additional six. Coach Thomas Tuchel wanted to guide Àlvarez to his former club Chelsea last summer, but a change failed due to Ajax’s veto.
Àlvarez’s starting position is the six, but he can also play as a centre-back. He joined Ajax from his native Mexico from CF America in 2019 for €15m. Àlvarez has made 41 competitive appearances this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
